This issue's Random Historic Photo is from 2007. It was when the Dawson Building, 916 Westfield Boulevard [G5 on
map], was being razed. Broad Ripple Refinishing had been in the building. The Dawson who built that building is a relative and the current building owner agreed to have the Dawson stone removed so I could have it. It unfortunately fell out of the opening, bounced off the awning and fell to the ground, breaking in two. I do still have the pieces in case they can be reconnected!
