The
Public Art Master Plan second Broad Ripple Public Art Master Plan public meeting was held at the Indianapolis Art Center - 820 E. 67th Street [A4 on
map] on July 7th, 2026. There were around 50 attendees at the meeting.
One of the activities was to put pins into a map indicating where we would like to see future art in the Village. Another was to vote on how we would like to be involved in our public art.

Julia Money Moore, Director of Public Art at the Indy Arts Council, ran the meeting. She explained why we want a Master Plan. A plan helps with community engagement, helps show where art should be added, shows investors that there is organization in a region, and provides a toolkit for future art projects.
Marissa Byers, in charge of public engagement with the developing plan, described the trends seen in the feedback gathered at Public Art Master Plan booths at farmers markets and events like the Duck Race.
The attendees then broke into three groups - History, Maintenance, and New Art Process. Each group developed a list of items corresponding to its topic.
The results from the brainstorming session will be incorporated into the master plan.
This was the last planned public meeting for the master plan process. The next phase, to end in November, is information consolidation and writing of the plan for public feedback. The last phase is the publishing of the final plan around Thanksgiving.
