The Friends of Broad Ripple Village (FOBRV) held meeting #3 on April 21 at the Indianapolis Art Center, 820 E. 67th Street [A4 on
map], to announce the results of the Future-of-the-Village study and to ask for public input. There were around 115 attendees.
The first half of the meeting was not about planning, but discussed the role of the Broad Ripple Village Association (BRVA) and highlighted trash pick up efforts in the Village.
The second half of the meeting unveiled the renderings for the 1-3 year Village plan and suggested the 3-15 year plans. The 1-3 year plan is to clean up the Village of trash, graffiti, and run down buildings, and to beautify the landscapes with plantings and lighting. This will attract new businesses. The 3-15 year plan includes replacing empty lots and businesses.
