The Ice Rink at Holliday Park is proud to have donated free skating to more than 5,500 skaters over the prior three seasons through its Skate It Forward program, which provides outreach to under-resourced communities through sponsorships that allow the Ice Rink to make it affordable and easy for everyone to get on the ice. Those facing financial constraints can reach out to the Holliday Park Foundation via email to receive complimentary skate passes through Skate it Forward.
"The Ice Rink has quickly become a must-visit winter tradition for many in the Indianapolis area," said Adam Barnes, Executive Director of the Holliday Park Foundation. "Each year, we work to make skating a more accessible, enjoyable and meaningful experience for our community. Every ticket purchased supports ongoing improvements to the Ice Rink, such as updates to the spectating area and visiting lounge, which helps us preserve this special gathering place for years to come."
The Ice Rink at Holliday Park is open daily throughout the entire season except on Christmas Day, making it easy for families and visitors to enjoy winter fun any day of the week. Tickets are $14 online and at the door and include skate rental. Admission is free for children four and under, and students receive half-off entry on Fridays. Season passes are available for $150.
This year's opening follows the unveiling of Holliday Park's new multi-million-dollar playground project, offering visitors even more ways to enjoy the park year-round. Proceeds from the Ice Rink at Holliday Park will go to the Holliday Park Foundation to allow the park to continue to grow, evolve and serve the community. The Ice Rink is named after the late Dr. Michael Turner, who had the original idea and vision of adding a new winter experience for Indianapolis.
The Ice Rink at Holliday Park's operating hours vary by date, so please visit www.hollidaypark.org/rink for the full schedule or follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Tickets are available at https://aftontickets.com/icerinkathollidaypark.
