Random Rippling - 11th District American Legion "Of The Year" award dinner

American Legion Broad Ripple Post #3, 6379 N. College Avenue [E3 on map], hosted the District 11 Public Service Awards Dinner on November 5. The three honorees were nominated by their sponsoring posts - Broad Ripple Post 3 and University Veterans Post 360. The District 11 winners advance to the State awards.
Dinner was served before the ceremony and following the awards was a presentation about Ernie Pyle.
The awards were
  • Firefighter of the Year - IFD Battalion Chief Dudley Taylor
  • Law Officer of the Year - North District Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF) Gun Detective Tiffany Rand
  • Military Person of the Year - Matthew R. Schneider (unable to attend)
