Broad Ripple Village Association Announces Leadership Transition and Launches Search for New Executive Director
posted: Oct. 16, 2025

The Broad Ripple Village Association (BRVA) announced that Jordan Dillon will be stepping down from her role as Executive Director. During her tenure, she has played an instrumental role in strengthening community partnerships, supporting local businesses, and advancing the BRVA's mission to enhance the vitality and quality of life in Broad Ripple.
The BRVA Board of Directors has begun the search for the organization's next Executive Director to continue advancing its mission of enriching the Broad Ripple community, attracting investment, and amplifying public spaces to improve quality of life.
"Broad Ripple is a special place, and it's been an honor to serve this Village and the people who make it what it is," said Dillon. "I've had the chance to work with passionate residents, creative business owners, and dedicated partners who care deeply about Broad Ripple's success. When I moved into a Broad Ripple rental more than 20 years ago, I never could have imagined having the privilege to lead the organization that helps shape this community. I'm proud of the progress we've made together, and I believe it's the right time for a fresh perspective to build on that foundation and guide the Village into its next chapter."
Founded in 1969, the BRVA is the oldest and largest volunteer-driven organization in Indianapolis dedicated to supporting both residents and businesses of Broad Ripple. The Executive Director is a full-time, salaried position responsible for leading the association's operations, events, financial management, and community engagement efforts. This role also serves as the public face of the organization, collaborating closely with business owners, residents, local officials, and media to represent the interests of the Village.
"The Broad Ripple Village Association plays a vital role in shaping the future of one of Indianapolis' most vibrant cultural districts," said Matt Hornyak,, President of the BRVA Board of Directors. "We're seeking a strong leader who shares our passion for community, collaboration, and continued progress in Broad Ripple."
The incoming Executive Director will:
  • Oversee all BRVA initiatives, projects, and events
  • Work collaboratively with the Board to achieve organizational goals
  • Strengthen and diversify funding sources
  • Expand and guide the volunteer and membership base
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization
  • Manage day-to-day operations, communications, and financial reporting
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of successful nonprofit leadership experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a demonstrated commitment to grassroots community work.
