Purple Poem
Fifteen years ago when I wrote the poem below, I was experiencing several thoughts impinging on a point. Chief among them were Jimi Hendrix, Jesus The Christ, and Mary Magdalene.
It felt purple to me so I began printing, laminating, and disseminating it on purple paper. I would describe 'Jesus Meets Electricity' as cool, sorrowful, and electric, and always - purple.

Jesus Meets Electricity
R U Experienced
Jesus asked
& then made
his guitar
wail.
Then he played
& sang
A song
To His wife.
He missed her
Greatly.
That is why
"The Wind
Cries
Mary."
