Zoning issues at BRVA May meeting

There were around 22 in attendance at the May 27, 2025, public meeting of the Broad Ripple Village Association [BRVA] Land Use and Development committee that was held in the basement of Northminster Presbyterian Church, 1660 Kessler Boulevard.

There was one item on the agenda, in bold below.
6434 N. College Ave. - BR Rentals LLC. Misha Rabinowitch presenting on an application to rezone .72 acres from the C-1 district to the C-3 district to expand the permitted uses to include commercial and retail uses such as: Artisan Food & Beverage, Consumer Services or Repair of Goods, Eating Establishment or Food Preparation-Retail, Light General (e.g., fitness business). Case #2025-ZON-045 - Hearing scheduled for May 29, 2025
This request to was to rezone the office building on the west side of College Avenue near 64th Street to allow for tenants other than office, such as a salon, spa, fitness studio, etc.
The building will be remodeled inside and out and the parking lot is to be resurfaced. All of the tenants have moved out.

The committee voted to support this project.
The next public meeting of the committee is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 6pm, at Northminster Presbyterian Church.
