Ursurla Shelton, LE CL (Licensed Esthetician, Cosmetologist) who owns Shear Elegance Day Spa, discovered her career ambitions early in life. "My interest in becoming a skin esthetician began at a young age. I've always been fascinated by skin - how it functions, what affects it, and why it changes. I found myself asking questions like, 'Why do people get acne? Why do some have darker skin tones? Why do women sometimes have unwanted hair?' These curiosities sparked when I was just nine or ten years old and ultimately led me to pursue a career in skincare," she explained.

"Choosing the Broad Ripple location was truly a stroke of luck. At the time I was searching for a space, 6235B Carrollton Avenue (in the back of the building next to the post office) happened to be available. I went to see it, and the moment I stepped inside, I knew it was the right place. I fell in love with it instantly, and the decision was made".

Ms. Shelton described her work. "For those unfamiliar with my work as an esthetician, my focus is on providing customized skincare tailored to each individual's unique needs. No two people have the same skin, so I take the time to understand what each client is looking for and design treatments accordingly. I also specialize in oncology skincare, supporting individuals who have undergone chemotherapy or radiation by offering gentle, restorative care. My goal is to ensure every client feels comfortable, informed, and confident. Education is a big part of what I do - I help people understand their skin and how to care for it in a way that truly works for them."
Their spa services include consultations, facials, waxing, dermaplane, micro needling, oncology skin care and microdermabrasion. Details of these services are at:
