The Ice Rink has been able to provide free skating to over 2,000 skaters each of the last two seasons via the Skate It Forward program, which provides outreach to under-resourced communities through sponsorships that allow the Ice Rink to make it affordable and easy for everyone to get on the ice. More information about supporting the program as a sponsor to make ice skating accessible is available here. Those facing financial constraints can reach out to the Holliday Park Foundation via email to receive complimentary skate passes through Skate it Forward.
"We are excited and look forward to welcoming skaters back for the third season of the Ice Rink," said Adam Barnes, Executive Director of the Holliday Park Foundation. "As this event becomes more sustainable every year, we are proud of the impact we can make by offering residents the ability to get out and relax in nature during the winter months, as well as expanding our educational and community programming to foster lifelong memories at Holliday Park."
Tickets are on sale now for $14 online and at the door and include skate rental. Admission is free for children four and under, and students of any age receive a half-off entry on Fridays with their student ID. Season passes are available for $150. Concessions, beer and wine from MASHCraft will be available for purchase weekly Friday through Sunday.
The Ice Rink is managed by Styner Sports LLC, with 50+ years of rink management experience and a deep connection to the Indianapolis skating community. Proceeds from the Ice Rink at Holliday Park will go to the Holliday Park Foundation to allow the park to continue to grow, evolve and serve the community. The Ice Rink is named after the late Dr. Michael Turner, who had the original idea and vision of adding a new winter experience for Indianapolis.
