The Gazette attended an opening of a new kind of museum located in COhatch Polk Stables at 1533 Lewis Street. This project is a collaboration with the Harrison Center. The
Polklore Micro-Museum is on the walls of a public space and uses a technology where a visitor can point a cell phone camera toward an object and see more information about the historic artifacts from the neighborhood.
I visited to see if perhaps a museum like this could work for Broad Ripple. We would need businesses to collaborate with Harrison Center to do that.
Many artifacts and photos line the walls from the time that Polk Dairy was in the neighborhood
Joanna Taft of the Harrison Center demonstrated the video feature of the museum
A monitor also displayed more history - here is Riverside Amusement Park
