Poetic Thoughts - late night production - by C.W. Pruitt II

Sufi poet Rumi once said, "The evening wind has secrets to tell, do not go back to sleep." I tend to bend in agreement with the mystic. For me, there seems to be added inspiration when the lights go out.
late night production
i like to work between
midnight and six
with production
peaking about 2
under the solitude
of night i can think,
sometimes with
a collaborator or 2
things become enhanced
clarity is increased
but the creations
are nothing really new
i don't require
many great nights
but i would settle
for the outstanding few
