A Bird in the Flower Pot!
The Carolina Wren is a jovial and pesky bird in the area. This small brown bird is the one that has probably nested above your door, in a window sill, a wreath, or flower pot. You can identify the Carolina Wren: small, active, brown and cinnamon colors with an upward-cocked tail and white eyebrow stripe.

This feisty, intelligent bird is fun to watch as they flit in search of insects. They will come to birdfeeders where there is suet, meal worms, and peanut picks. Their song is loud for its size and is a harbinger of spring. They do stay here all year. Next time you find a bird in your door wreath. . . just wait until the babies hatch. You will have an amazing time watching nature.
