This photo is from the collection of BRHS alum Vernon Earle. I did a series of interviews with Vernon back in the early days of the Broad Ripple Gazette. I met him when I was running the BRHS Reunions for Classes of the 20s, 30s & 40s at the Riviera Club.

It shows the Tee Pee Restaurant that was on the northwest corner of 38th and Fall Creek, adjacent to the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The coliseum can be seen peeking over the top of the left side.

Your editor used to have lunch here often, while going to IUPUI on 38th Street.

I did not know until doing research years later that there was another Tee Pee Restaurant in Nora in the 60s. It was at 1365 E. 86th Street, about where the Steak 'n Shake was at Westfield Boulevard.
