This photo is from 1973. If you grew up in Broad Ripple in the 1960s you probably remember the wonderful cakes from Roselyn Bakery. Roselyn was last* at 6286 N. College Avenue [H2 on map]. It was razed in 2012 to make way for the mixed-use parking garage.

In 1973 I had a moon landing cake. My favorite was the Batman cake!

* History: Roselyn was at 915 Broad Ripple Avenue in 1955 (Thieves today) and at 828 Broad Ripple Avenue in 1958 (Metamorphosis today).

History footnote: I also loved the large, flat chocolate chip cookies from Roselyn, although my mother said they tasted like cardboard!
