Random Historic Photo - Guilford in 1990
posted: Apr. 20, 2023
This photo is from 1990. There is a lot in this one.
Starting on the right, the east side of Guilford Avenue north of Broad Ripple Avenue, is Holland Bakery. Today this is part of Brothers.
Next, across the alley, is the original home of Chelsea's before it moved up the street to the intersection with Westfield. To the north of that was the Parthenon Restaurant, then MAB Paints, Artifacts, and the Corner Wine Bar.
On the left, the west side of Guilford, is the Patio Nightclub (currently LAVA). Then Quality Leasing (currently 317 BBQ), and Reiswerg's Meat Market (currently Usta Mediterranean Restaurant.
At the back of the photo, on Westfield Boulevard, is Lobraico's Drug Store shortly before Chelsea's moved there. Today this is Runners Forum and The Red Room.
