Random Rippling - BR Kiwanis check to PPHS
posted: Dec. 01, 2022
Broad Ripple Kiwanis Club presented a check for $800 to Purdue Polytechnic High School's (PPHS) maker program's coach, Will Walls, to purchase wood for their creations. They buy it from Indy Urban Hardwood, who salvages trees from site in Indy and prepare it for re-use. PPHS gets a 50% discount, so the money goes twice as far. Coach Walls said this supply will go a long way toward helping the program become self-sustaining. They are taking orders for custom items such as cutting boards, chess sets, address boards. Will is also very open to requests for new designs that will challenge the students.
