The new sewers and street surfacing (from Guilford to the Monon Trail [H5 on
map]) are finished in phase one of the Broad Ripple Avenue project. The next part of phase one is to widen the sidewalks. During this portion, the sidewalks are closed and pedestrians walk down the center of the street. Small bridges are built to allow customers access to the businesses in the affected areas.
Do any readers remember Monkey Jungle in Miami, Florida, where the people are caged and the monkeys roam free? This street configuration reminds me of that.
