Random Historic Photo - Little America
posted: Dec. 01, 2022
This photo is from a home movie taken around 1963 of the Little America kiddie land that was west of Hedlund Hardware at 62nd and Keystone Avenue. The quality is not great, but this image shows your editor on a tractor ride. Across 62nd Street to the north you can see Kroger grocery and Haag Drug Store (I am pretty sure that is a Huddle Restaurant east of Haag Drugs), about where the Marsh was recently (when Marsh was built the building was moved a bit to the north). You can also see the Shepard's Enco gas station sign. I will let you know when I get the video on BroadRippleHistory.com so you can see the ride in action!
