Indianapolis Cultural Trail to Host 3rd Annual Fall Plant Sale Cultivated by Milhaus October 1 & 2
posted: Sept. 29, 2022

Indianapolis Cultural Trail Inc announced today that the non-profit organization's Fall Plant Sale Cultivated by Milhaus will take place October 1 & 2, 2022, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The third annual fall plant sale features more than 1000 plants from 40 varieties of plants that grow throughout the 5 acres of gardens on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.
"The Cultural Trail Fall Plant Sale Cultivated by Milhaus lets the Indianapolis community bring their favorite plants seen on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail to their home gardens. All proceeds from the plant sale support the ongoing maintenance of the landscaping along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick." said Kären Haley, Indianapolis Cultural Trail Inc Executive Director. "There is a wide variety of options from which people can choose and they can also speak with the Cultural Trail's Director of Horticulture to have their home garden questions answered."
The Cultural Trail's Fall Plant Sale is live online now for those who prefer a pick-up option. The in-person sale is available October 1 and 2 at the Indianapolis Cultural Trail headquarters, 132 W. Walnut Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
Garden favorites available this year include the Astilbe found on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail along The Glick Peace Walk and Ostrich Fern found on the Trail along North St. A full list of plants can be found on the Cultural Trail's website, along with a description of each plant, size when mature, bloom time, care requirements, and where the plants can be found along the Trail. This year, shoppers can choose from 7 pre-selected plant kits including the Tough Ones Plant Kit and Fun Texture Plant Kit.
The Fall Plant Sale includes bulbs, plants propagated directly from Cultural Trail plants, or plants sourced from partners at a local nursery. Plants at the sale are chosen exclusively from the Cultural Trail landscape palette.
Thanks to a partnership with Team Milhaus, 100% of all plant sales go directly to support the mission and ongoing maintenance and care of the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.
"Team Milhaus is dedicated to transforming neighborhoods, and we have loved watching how the Indianapolis Cultural Trail has grown and shaped the neighborhoods it touches," said Raven Reckley, Milhaus vice president of marketing. "Bringing home a small part of the Trail through the plant sale further connects Indianapolis residents to the community. We're proud to sponsor the sale and help play an active role in maintaining the Cultural Trail as a city-wide amenity."
