This ad for the Jolly Roger's Melody Gardens appeared in 1955. The address seems wrong. The tavern was at 6440 Westfield Boulevard [D5 on map]. None of my records show that this section of Westfield Boulevard was ever called Winthrop.

For many years this location was Fireside North, then the American Legion Kennington Post was there. Today it is an office building with Veritas Realty. The ad also says "Formerly Roll Hoss".
