This is a supremely bad idea. Traffic through this area is usually heavy and the billboard will be a big distraction for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians. Expect an increase in the number of rear-enders and automobile-bicycle crashes, as well as pedestrian collisions. Not to mention that a huge digital billboard will be a huge digital eyesore, bright and blinking day and night, 24-7. Is this really want we want Broad Ripple to be? A smaller version of the Vegas Strip? This proposal should be voted down for the good of the community, motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians.
