Random Historic Photo - 1929 aerial 74th and White River
posted: May 12, 2022
This issue's Random Historic Photo is from John Brent. It was brought to an early Broad Ripple History Saturday meeting at the Whistle Stop (now BRICS) back in 2004. It is an aerial taken in 1929 from over the White River at about 74th Street, looking west. The road across the top is Westfield Boulevard. Above the road are the Monon RR tracks.
The curved road is Edgewater Drive and the straight road is Ruth Drive. The White River is along the bottom edge. The bridge on Westfield by the spillway can just be seen in the upper left corner.
I think the house roughly in the center is 7365 Edgewater Drive. The two at the right edge could be 7369 and 7377.
