The annual Linear Bocce tournament was held on May 1st, 2022. The event was delayed from the day before due to weather concerns. The annual event was postponed for the past two years because of COVID. Organizer Will Higgins [H5 on
map] said that over the years this event has raised around $30,000 for various charities. The tournament begins with registration at the 42nd and College Indianapolis Public Library. Then teams assemble in the alley between Broadway and Park and begin playing bocce, throwing the target ball and then players trying to roll balls closest to that target, moving up the alley with each match. This year the tournament ended around 52nd Street with an after-party.
