The old caboose between Cornell Avenue and the Monon Trail is now marked no trespassing. It had last been the office of J.R. Walsh Realty. The letter posted on the site states that the ground lease with the City of Indianapolis expired in 2015. Last November the City asked the owner of the caboose to move it off of the property by May 31, 2021. That removal did not occur and the city placed the no trespassing signs on the property.

Your editor does not know the history of how the caboose came to be located here. We did learn that it was an art studio in the early 1970s.
