The Farmers Market - Jan 30 at Glendale
posted: Feb. 04, 2021
January 30 in the lower level of Glendale (62nd Street side), just to the left of the Macy's entrance.
The popularity of the fresh lobster availability at the January 30th market caused confusion. The lobster vendor and also Tulip Tree Creamery were in a space to the east of the main market. The long line for lobsters stretched down the building and past the entrance to the larger market space. It appeared to those pulling up in the parking lot (including your editor) that this was the line for the market. Many drove on, deciding not to wait that long. In fact, there was no line to get in the main section of the market.
When your editor left the market, not finding Tulip Tree, it was discovered it was in with the lobster vendor. I opted to not attempt to "cut in line" to try to buy cheese. The market organizers are working to solve this problem for future markets.
