@ButlerMBB Postpones Two Additional Games Due to COVID-19 Positive Test
posted: Dec. 03, 2020
In addition to Sunday's game against Eastern Illinois that was previously announced as postponed, the Bulldogs will also postpone scheduled games against Northern Kentucky (Dec. 6) and Kansas State (Dec. 11).
Butler's next game will be its BIG EAST opener Dec. 14 versus St. John's at Hinkle Fieldhouse (5PM, FS1).
This announcement comes after Butler has confirmed the initial positive COVID-19 test result first detected earlier this week from within the men's basketball program's Tier 1 personnel, which consists of student-athletes, coaches and select support staff. The individual is not displaying symptoms and remains in isolation.
Those identified as close contacts were instructed to quarantine when the initial positive test result was detected. Butler will pause all in-person team activities for a 14-day period, which began Thursday, Nov. 26.
Butler's COVID-19 surveillance testing occurs three times per week in accordance with NCAA and BIG EAST protocols.
