This ad for Carter's Farm Market (a little damaged, but usable) ran in 1949. The market was at 833 Westfield Boulevard [G4 on map]. We have heard stories that this was the place to get fresh chickens in old Broad Ripple. Today this is known as the Carter Building that has been home to Ben and Jerry's, Greeks Pizzeria, and Dagwood's Deli & Sub Shop to name but a few.
