Random Rippling - Williams Creek low-head dam
posted: Aug. 27, 2020
The White River Williams Creek low-head dam around 73rd and Westfield Boulevard is undergoing a renovation. This dam maintains the water levels on the main part of the White River to achieve the needed pressure at the Broad Ripple dam to keep the proper flow in the canal. Temporary pumps and pipes have been installed to keep the flow through this White River path that reconnects just downstream of the Broad Ripple dam, at the Indianapolis Art Center.
