Random Rippling - Booth Tarkington marker unveiled

A new Booth Tarkington historic marker was recently unveiled in front of Booth's house at 4270 Meridian Street. Neighbors gathered for the unveiling ceremony that was held on August 5th. Tim and Doris Anne Sadler, the current owners of the Tarkington house, welcomed everyone and told of the history of Booth Tarkington, from his writing in the home to his fame worldwide. Doris Anne told how Booth was friends with celebrities all over the world. The Marx Brothers even came to visit Booth at his Meridian Street home.
Casey Pfeiffer, Marker Manager for Indiana Historical Bureau (IHB), described the historical marker process. She said there are now over 675 markers across Indiana.
