A reader wrote in asking what was at Chumley's before Chumley's?

A check of the city directories showed Casse Boccaccio there in 1989 (838 Broad Ripple Avenue [H4 on map] where Condado Tacos is today) and Arthur's Music Store there in the 1970s, but no listings for the years in question, the 1990's.

An email to a long-time restaurant and bar owner produced the answer. It was J Bistro before Chumley's.
