BR Park pool work

A reader noticed a dumpster was delivered to Broad Ripple Park near the swimming pool. We asked Broad Ripple Park what the dumpster is for and got a quick reply from the Assistant Park Manager, Ashley Greene.
"The dumpster is for the pool but not to completely remove the pool. Our pool liner is being completely replaced. The dumpster is needed to throw the old material out. The pool liner has been stretch and torn in too many places that it was decided back in April that the liner should be completely replaced. Due to Coronavirus, the construction got pushed back until now."
"Along with the liner, they are doing completely new lane lines. We are so excited to be getting a full replacement but also saddened that we were unable to open the pool this summer. This plus the continuing pandemic pushed Indy Parks to make some very difficult decisions and one of those was to focus on making sure our day camp is safe while carefully picking specific pools to offer open swim. We are very hopeful for summer 2021."
"All other amenities will be unaffected by the construction."
