47th and Keystone recycling drop-off gone
posted: Feb. 13, 2020

The public recycling bin at the east end of the parking lot at 4701 N. Keystone Avenue has been removed. We have been told that the contract from the City of Indianapolis was not renewed with the recycyling company. A new contract is being arranged with another company. We are awaiting an answer on when a recycling container will return to this location.
Note: The smaller orange recycling bin on the west side of the parking lot is a private bin. It is not the public one provided by the city. We discovered that fact when the lid was locked with a padlock.
The public recycling bin is still at the north parking lot at Broad Ripple Park, although it is often filled to the top. We reported earlier that we were told the bin at the park is emptied daily, but that does not seem to be true.
