Public Notices - Documentarian Marshall Curry Comes To Butler

Butler University's College of Communication Distinguished Lecture Series is pleased to present Marshall Curry on Tuesday, October 29 at 7:00 PM in the Reilly Room at Atherton Union.
Marshall Curry is a three-time Academy Award nominated documentary director, cinematographer, and editor. His films cover a wide range of interests and include Street Fight, Racing Dreams, If A Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front, and Point and Shoot. Curry's short documentaries include the Oscar-nominated, A Night at the Garden, about an American Nazi rally that filled Madison Square Garden in 1939. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard, Duke, Columbia, and NYU.
In anticipation of Curry's appearance, the College of Communication is presenting his 2009 documentary that follows two boys and a girl through a season of World Karting Association (WKA) racing as they compete and aspire to become professional NASCAR drivers. This is event is Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at 7:00 PM in Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall.
