"Courtney Thompson is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2019 legislative session," said State Sen. John Ruckelshaus (R-Indianapolis).
Thompson, a resident of Indianapolis, is the daughter of Robert and Kimberly Thompson. She graduated from Bishop Chatard High School and is a recent graduate of DePauw University, where she studied communications.
As a legislative intern, Thompson tracks and analyzes bill data, provides constituent services, staffs Senate committee hearings and meetings, and conducts legislative policy research.
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play a small role in the legislative process and aid Sen. Messmer and his colleagues as they work hard to serve the Hoosiers they represent," Thompson said.
Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which will end by April 29.
