Season for Sparkling
A few of my Warfleigh Wino neighbor friends and I gathered on Christmas night to share some conversation and wine.
The atmosphere was casual and comfortable as was the wine in the glass. It was the Mionetto Prosecco DOC Treviso Brut. This Italian sparkling wine is part of the wineries Prestige collection. It's elegant in style but offers up more flavor and flair than attitude. We found it to be mostly dry, with an appealing fruity flavor profile, tiny consistent bubbles and clean, silky finish.

Mionetto makes a number of different styles of sparkling wine from dry to sweet and even produces a prosecco made from organic grapes. The wine tastes great on its own but also pairs well with nuts, cheeses, meats, and chocolates. ( And delightful conversations about movies, travel, and the ever changing Broad Ripple landscape.) Don't let New Year's Eve be the only night you indulge in something bubbly. Like good friends, sparkling wine should be something to appreciate and spend time with on a regular basis.
