Wines to Fall For
I recently enjoyed a brief but blissful fall break in Southern California. For a few days, I traded the golds, oranges, and reds of the Indiana fallscape for the browns, beiges, and grays of California. And the pinks of France, in WINE that is. California COSTCO stores carry a wide and affordable domestic and international selection. That included a three pack of dry style rose wines from the Cotes de Provence for just $19.99. Two of the three really pleased my palate, the Roquatelle and the La Sangliere. Both were blends of cinsault and grenache with delicious flavors of red fruit but the La Sangliere had much more body and mouth feel. If you find them locally, give them a try.

If you're looking to stock up on Indiana wine for the holidays put November 19th, 2018, on your calendar. That is the day of Easley Winery's Thanksgiving wine sale. 6 wines for $6. The downtown winery will offer a selection of dry and sweet style wines for $6 bucks a bottle. An easy way to savor and share local product for the holidays. 5
