Our local beep ball team, the Indy Thunder, recently won the NBBA 2018 Beep Baseball World Series that was held in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. There were 22 teams in the series, including one from Taiwan. The Indy Thunder has won the series three times in a row - 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Darnell Booker, General Manager/Coach, said the team's record during the past three years is 67 wins, 3 losses. "Yes, we are Indiana's team, but is it awesome that we are based right here in Broad Ripple. We practice in the springtime at Broad Ripple Park, Optimist Park, and at Park Tudor. I want to thank all of the businesses in Broad Ripple that have supported us."

The Pawn Shop Pub both hosted the awards ceremony and provided the food. Many other local businesses help the team with hats, shirts, and other needs.
