Poetic Thoughts - Ode 2 Katrina - by C.W. Pruitt II
posted: Sept. 28, 2018
Sometimes Love comes at a great cost. A devastating cost. An unbearable cost - at least for awhile. In our sorrow it's worth looking at what we have gained. So it is with Katrina:
Ode 2 Katrina
The shocking awe
From what we saw
Brought us great grief
Then sweet relief
The tears did flow
We got to know
A Love so deep
Did not come cheap
The price is steep
But we can keep
Treasure we found
On sacred ground
Realizing
Tranquilizing
From compassion
Not to ration
---- Love ----
Often sublime
Coming in time
To remind us
Like a kindness
BOMB
