Great Wines Good Cause
In the mood to eat, drink and enjoy la dolce vita for a good cause? Take a trip to Italy (and WIN a trip to EATALY in New York!!) at the upcoming 30th Anniversary party for Gennesaret Free Clinics. Gennesaret offers free medical, dental, vision and other services to those in most need at over 200 different sites across Indianapolis.
The event is built around a spectacular Italian wine tasting. Dozens of wines from nine different regions will be available for sampling and purchase. Ron Miller of Cork & Cracker is the event vendor. You know he carries a spectacular selection of Italian wines in his Broad Ripple store, including the Anselmi San Vincenzo. It's a lush yet crisp, citrusy dry white made from a blend of Garganega, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
Some other "must tastes" at the August 5th event include the full-bodied Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco with notes of peach, pear and lovely bubbles. Dry rose fans must sample the Pasqua 11 Minute Rose. A variety of old world red grapes are left with skins on, and pressed for eleven minutes. The juice is then aged eleven hours in stainless steel tanks creating flavors of wild cherry, strawberry and watermelon create a crisp clean dry finish. Delizioso!
Cork & Cracker will be taking orders at the event and donating a percentage of sales to Gennesaret.
