Charlotte Beatty was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. She lived a few blocks from the Jackson Five and attended Gary Roosevelt with Jermaine Jackson.
Charlotte recently painted her first 3 canvasses. I would describe them as pure spiritual art. This poem is for her.

Our Lives

are blank canvasses.
And what we choose
to fearlessly project
onto the canvas
may provide inspiration
to others who will
pick up a brush
and engage in
the process
of creation.
