Our culture bombards us with material distractions which often interfere with us obtaining the highest levels of Love. This poem is a plea for finding what is truly important:

Sage to Student

You are young
and undisciplined.
You are easily
distracted by what
your senses find pleasing.

Therefore follow me.
The example I give
will allow you the
same divine connection
that I have.

Observe how I die.
The beauty and perfection
of my sacrifice will
be an undying source
of inspiration.
