The first of four public open houses for the development of a master plan for Broad Ripple Park was held at Broad Ripple High School on March 7th, 2018. About a dozen IndyPark staffers were there, including Linda Broadfoot (IndyParks Director), Beth Crouch (past BR Park manager and current IndyParks COO), Don Colvin (Deputy Director of Indy Parks), and Kathy Fitzgerald (current manager of BR Park). This was primarily an information gathering meeting to find out how residents want to use the park. There were displays showing park data, such as exisiting tree canopies, flood areas, utilities, walking distances to the park, and many more.
The remaining open houses are scheduled for April 4, May 2, and May 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Broad Ripple High School cafeteria.
