Meanwhile, there are too many holiday events going on in the Ripple. Here are a few:

Santa And His Reindeer In The Ripple

Don't miss live reindeer and Santa from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday December 2, 2017, at the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Buy a Christmas tree, wreath, or poinsettia. ISBVI is at 7725 N. College, follow the signs to the NE side of the property.

If you can't make this event, Weavers Nursery (1316 Broad Ripple Avenue) and Johnny's on College Avenue next to the Fresh Thyme Farmers Market have trees, including Fraser Firs - my favorite.

Art Center Student Show Exhibition Opens

On December 15, 2017, the 80th Annual Student Show Exhibition Opening reception will be held from 6 - 9 PM at the Indianapolis Art Center.

Additionally, gallery visitors will have an opportunity to see work made as part of the Insider Art program, an outreach program where they provide studio art classes for young people in the Marion County Jail.

IMA Holiday Light Show

The Newfields (aka the Indianapolis Museum of Art) has a holiday light display this year known as Winterlights. See their website for details. Tickets are $25. They are also featuring a Lilly House tour. The House is decorated again this year with poinsettas and more. Both look like holiday musts.

Last Chance For Health Insurance

Are you un-insured and under 65 (and do not receive health insurance from your employer)? Go to www.healthcare.gov by December 15, 2017, to enroll.

You may qualify for a monthly subsidy such that your out of pocket premium cost will be zero. Yes, we have only 2 plans available but you may qualify for a subsidy.

Are you low income? Enroll anytime in the Healthy Indiana Plan, Indiana's version of Medicaid.

Over 65? You have until December 7 to make plan changes to your Medicare options including the Part D drug plan.
