Tiny Tonic is geared toward the kiddos. Visit Second Helpings for a rock 'n roll concert for kids (and their parents) featuring Ruditoonz. Scott Rudicel is a great fun and a talented singer and songwriter.
There is no charge for the event, but feel free to bring a box of elbow macaroni to donate. Second Helpings rescues surplus food from the community that they use to prepare and deliver to 85 other social service agencies at no cost - one million meals in the last 12 months! - and provides free culinary job training programs for unemployed and underemployed adults.

I was lucky enough to see Seth Walker at The Jazz Kitchen a few years ago and the show was fabulous! Seth is a great roots musician - his sound has been aptly described as gospel-drenched, southern-inflicted, with a strong blues influence. As the child of classically trained musicians, Seth first played the cello. After his Uncle Landon Walker, a deejay and musician, introduced him to the blues, Seth picked up the guitar and hasn't looked back.

What a fun night this will be! A whole gob of my favorite musicians are playing the parts of the members of the Band and the musical guests that joined them for the Thanksgiving Day concert on November 25, 1976.
The 40th anniversary tribute will include Wade Parish, Matt Wilson, Bill Mallers, David England, and Tad Armstrong as the Band. Other guests include Gary Wasson as Neil Young, Mina Keohane as Joni Mitchell, Brian Deer as Eric Clapton, Stasia Demos as Emmylou Harris, Jamika and Brandy Jones as the Staple Sisters, and more!
Indy Hostel Artist Call Out
The Indy Hostel (4903 Winthrop Ave) invites artists in the Indianapolis area to submit their works for the Hostel's monthly Second Friday Night art exhibit. They are seeking local artists to display their work in the common area. If you are interested e-mail Rafia at stay@indyhostel.us
Not-for-profit director by day, music writer by night, Nora Spitznogle reviews music that happened and previews music and events around Broad Ripple Village. Nora managed CATH Inc coffeehouse at 54th Street and College Avenue for seven years. During that time she hosted hundreds of local and touring musicians, both at the coffeehouse and her home. When CATH closed in 2004 and the music was no longer coming to her, she had to wander from her corner of Broad Ripple to see what is happening elsewhere. You can find her at Second Helpings during the work day, waitressing at the Red Key on Saturday nights and prowling Broad Ripple music venues the rest of the time.
