A new report finds more wine lovers enjoying a glass or bottle at HOME instead of at a wine bar, restaurant or winery. The survey of wine drinkers aged 30-50 found over half would rather buy their bottle and take it home to sip and savor on the sofa. And when it comes to the Millennials, 47 percent said the same. Thanks to the diverse and affordable selections available not only at wine stores but at big box and grocery stores, it's easier to do that. Over Kentucky Derby weekend, I sampled several rose' wines in honor of the Run for the Roses. Great values and wines that will offer easy drinking all summer long. A few weeks earlier I sampled some delicious Kosher wines for Passover. Big bold and deserving of year round drinking as all are available at local retailers.

Toad Hollow Rose of Pinot Noir - Elegant dry pink wine with steely, soft notes of red fruit and a smooth silky dry finish.

Dark Horse Rose - Limited edition screw cap widely available for less than $10. I love all of the Dark Horse wines and this one is no exception. If you closed your eyes, you might mistake it for a much more expensive rose wine from the South of France. Exceptional value if you like your rose very, very dry, clean and crisp.
