Tuesday, March 22, 2016
The Jazz Kitchen
5377 N College Ave - 21+, 7 - 10 PM, $10
Charlie Ballantine has a new project, and it sounds like it's aptly named. The Charlie Ballantine Eclectic Project will cover a wide swath of musical territory, including The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and The Beatles. The band is: Charlie Ballantine (guitar), Josh Espinoza (organ), Jesse Wittman (bass), and Jay Tibbitts (drums).
The Jazz Kitchen has excellent food, so make it your supper stop also.

Corrie Jagger's First First Friday
Friday, April 1, 2016
Cornerstone Coffee House
651 E 54th St - all-ages, free, 6 PM
Corrie Jagger is fascinated by the effects of light on subtle scenery of Indiana and the Midwest. Her work reflecting that beauty will be hanging at Cornerstone Coffee House and she's hosting her first First Friday Opening.

Not-for-profit director by day, music writer by night, Nora Spitznogle reviews music that happened and previews music and events around Broad Ripple Village. Nora managed CATH Inc coffeehouse at 54th Street and College Avenue for seven years. During that time she hosted hundreds of local and touring musicians, both at the coffeehouse and her home. When CATH closed in 2004 and the music was no longer coming to her, she had to wander from her corner of Broad Ripple to see what is happening elsewhere. You can find her at Second Helpings during the work day, waitressing at the Red Key on Saturday nights and prowling Broad Ripple music venues the rest of the time.
