Random Rippling - Milan BB film restoration party held at Plump's
posted: Mar. 04, 2016
Plump's Last Shot, 6416 Cornell Avenue [D5 on map], was full of basketball stars and fans on February 21st, including 1954 Milan team members Bobby Plump and Ray Craft. They were all there to support the project to restore the old Milan basketball films. The Kickstarter fund raising project at http://kck.st/1OTiooA was active at press date but may be completed by the time you read this. The project is to save the original game films of the famous 1954 State Championship basketball game where Milan beat the big town teams, which was the basis for the 1986 film Hoosiers.
Pictured (L to R) at Plump's Last Shot with Bobby Plump (far right) are current Milan Superintendent Paul Ketcham, 1954 Milan team mate Ray Craft, and former Indiana Pacer, four-time ABA All-Star and two-time ABA Champion, Bob Netolicky.
