Frog's Random Rippling - trek from Alaska
posted: Jan. 22, 2016
On January 14th, 2016, Bettie Finch, along with son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Sharon Stanford, made their annual trek from Resolute Cove, Alaska, where they have lived for 46 years, to Broad Ripple. They had to have their "tenderloin fix" at Plump's Last Shot. Thomas at the age of 15 while attending Whiteland High School in 1964 constructed a short wave radio so that he could hear Butler Basketball. He is a huge fan. That radio earned him the Strategic Air Command Science Award presented by U.S.A.F. Maj. Gen. Curtis LeMay. The couple brought Jonathan and Bobby Plump a can of their own home smoked Coho Silver Salmon and though he wasn't there Bobby did talk to them on the phone which they said was one of the highlights of their trip. They will be back January 16th, 2017, to celebrate Bettie's birthday and get their tenderloin.
