Art Center Hosts Winter Art Sale, Unveils New Exhibition
There will be a Winter Art Sale at the Indianapolis Art Center on Friday December 11, 2015, from 6 to 9 pm & Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 10 to 2 pm.
Shop from an exceptional selection of art and unique gifts made by over 30 faculty artists of the Indianapolis Art Center.

Let me join the chorus of those paying tribute to the late Amos Brown. His radio show and Indianapolis Recorder columns - and community leadership - will be sorely missed. Details of his legacy can be found in the November 13, 2015, issue of The Recorder. I rushed to read his column every week in The Recorder.

Small Wonders Preschool Program - Learn easy ways to engage your preschooler in nature and encourage their curiosity in the natural world. A new topic will be introduced each class through hands-on activities, hikes and stories, with take-home ideas for continuing the exploration at home. Vermicomposting 101 - Turn food scraps and yard waste into nutritious soil! Join us for a two part composting workshop presented by Melanie Baugh of Recycle Your Organics Consulting, LLC. Participants construct an indoor worm bin and learn about its care on the first day, then return the next week to ask questions about their bins, making use of the soil, as well as discover other types of composting systems. Broad Ripple Park is making special arrangements for Santa to call children directly from the North Pole. The calls will take place on December 17th, 2015, between 6 and 7pm. The cost is $2 per child, call 317.327.7161 to make sure your child gets a call that night.
